WHAT IS AERIAL YOGA

Aerial yoga is an exciting new style of yoga that uses silk fabric as a prop to support and suspend the body off the ground. Working with and against gravity, this practice will challenge your core strength and enable you to develop pulling strength and improved flexibility during a fun and dynamic yoga practice. Incorporating the foundation and principles of traditional yoga, the fabric adds a unique and fun element to the practice, enabling you to do things you would never have thought possible.
 

Aerial Yoga integrates the use of a hammock into a traditional, classic Yoga class. With a focus on deep breathing, postural alignment, and calm, purposeful movement that develops control and keeps the energy and emotions grounded. We use the hammock as a tool to support standing positions so that they can be held longer, to alleviate the difficulty and spinal compression from inversions, and to develop core strength. Suitable for all levels and body types. Relax and realign the body, center the mind and uplift the spirit!
